Land Use Development Update

Dave Culver, General Manager, Land Use Department, will provide an update on growth projections for north and south of the C&D Canal based upon new demographic estimates from the Delaware Population Consortium. The presentation will also include a review of the Village and Hamlet Ordinance, and the Mixed Use and Small Business Incentive Ordinances.

Stimulus Bill Project Update

Anne Farley, General Manager of Community Services, and Karl Kalbacher will discuss stimulus projects that New Castle County will receive funding directly from the Federal Government, and other projects New Castle County will be competitively applying for funding.

Delaware BRAC Update

Karl Kalbacher, Director of Economic Redevelopment, will provide an update on multi-governmental initiatives to recruit technology companies, and military and civilian transfers to New Castle County as a result of the relocation of operations at Fort Monmouth , NJ to the Aberdeen Proving Ground (APG) in Harford County , MD.
