Proposed Bill Would Change The Delaware Code Relating To Business Licenses

They’re busy down there in Dover. Currently, the Delaware Legislature is considering a bill that would require all Delaware-licensed businesses for which a business license is required to make such license information part of their advertising.

“Every person holding any State license authorizing the conduct of any business, trade or vocation shall have such license information conspicuously displayed on any advertising”

The lack of such information would help prevent out-of-state and/or unlicensed businesses from operating in Delaware and assist in identifying businesses that have not complied with the State licensing requirement.

This sounds like a responsible way to look out for your constituents. Of course it doesn’t hurt to identify a way in which you might potentially help to chip away at the 800 Million dollar budget deficit too…
