Governor Jack Markell has led Delaware during some of the most challenging economic times since the end of the Second World War. He entered office in January of 2009 facing an $850 million budget shortfall and considerable local, national and international economic turmoil. Three and one half years later, we are emerging from the “Great Recession” and the task of balancing the budget, while not easy, has become considerably more manageable.
Come and hear Governor Markell’s agenda for the end of the 146th General Assembly, his vision for Delaware and his argument for another four years as leader of the First State.
