Some Delaware business is just plain fun.
I found out about the Food & Brew Fest on a local event feed at Newarking.
Food and Brew Festival featuring the “Hops and Shops” Sidewalk Sale, 7/15, Starting at Noon. Downtown Newark will open its doors to American Craft Breweries in honor of American Beer Month (July). The third annual Downtown Newark Food & Brew Fest will take place at downtown Newark restaurants, celebrating the culinary arts and the brewing sciences. The celebration begins at noon!
Planned events include tastings, food specials, prize drawings, give-aways, live music and even a cooking class. Participating brew-masters and representatives will be on-site at the restaurants to answer questions and, in some cases, conduct mini-seminars on the subject. A day-of-event itinerary will be available at the restaurants and at an information booth at Wilmington Trust (82 E. Main Street) for event goers to plan their visits!
To add to the excitement, the all-day event will also feature the popular HOPS & SHOPS SIDEWALK SALE EXTRAVAGANZA showcasing the goods and wares offered by Downtown merchants & FREE PARKING (both meters and lots) all day long, a trolley shuttle, balloon decorations, strolling musicians and sidewalk chalk artistry!!
