Delaware Medical Examiner: John P. Wheeler, III, died of blunt force trauma

The Office of the Chief Medical Examiner has announced that John P. Wheeler, III, whose body was found December 31, 2010 at the Cherry Island Landfill in Wilmington, died as a result of blunt force trauma after being assaulted.

Any inquiries regarding the case should be directed to the Newark Police Department and the Delaware Department of Justice.

    Please stay on this case…too many people are being murdered without explanation.
    This is my effort to keep the investigation in the forefront and the public’s eye.

    I’m hoping to see Mr. Wheeler’s murderer brought to justice, too. I’m aware of the advocacy work he did for veterans injured by Agent Orange in Vietnam. He was a brave, compassionate person.
