About Jennifer Hill:
Jennifer is an advocate for all things entrepreneurial and has spent her entire career working for or with innovative technology companies and the venture capital firms that fund them. She was honored as a 2011 Rising Talent by the Women’s Forum for the Economy & Society.
She is an international venture lawyer at Gunderson Dettmer LLP representing angel investors, venture capital firms, and technology and digital media companies in the US, Latin America & the Middle East as they start-up, finance, and scale operations — one of very few women globally to have established a prominent role in this field. Involved with the Silicon Valley and NYC tech communities for over a decade, she leads and negotiates debt and equity finance, M&A, licensing and partnership deals that expand product lines, geographic reach, and drive revenue globally. In addition, she regularly advises global venture funds on investments in tech start-up companies.
Beyond the law, she is acknowledged as an expert on small business, entrepreneurship and high-growth technology companies. She regularly appears on MSNBC’s Your Business, co-hosted a tv show on CBS Money called The Secrets of Successful Start-Ups, and writes for CNN Money as a member of Small Business Board of Directors. Dedicated to the advancement of female entrepreneurs, she serves on the advisory boards of Women in Wireless and Astia, whose operations she launched and led in NYC to accelerate and fund high-growth female entrepreneurs. She also serves on the advisory boards of tech start-ups in NYC and Silicon Valley and regularly mentors women of all ages and stages of their businesses.
