Delaware Burger Battle 2015: It’s Just Getting Juicy

Delaware’s biggest battle between the buns returns this August in a new location but with the same mission – raising money for those in need at Ministry of Caring’s Emmanuel Dining Room.

The Delaware Burger Battle will take place on Saturday, Aug. 29, from noon to 3:30 p.m. on the grounds of the Cauffiel House, 1016 Philadelphia Pike, Wilmington.

The Delaware Burger Battle, taking place annually on the last Saturday before Labor Day weekend, has become an end-of-summer tradition for burger lovers of all ages. Restaurants at the battle will offer unlimited samples of their best burgers; a panel of expert judges will select the Critic’s Choice Winner, and guests will vote on the People’s Choice Winner.

In recent years, national media including Business Insider and Thrillist.com have picked the winners of the Delaware Burger Battle as the state’s best burger

Last year, the Delaware Burger Battle raised $10,000 for the Ministry of Caring’s Emmanuel Dining Room. Over three years, burger battles have raised more than $21,000 for the Ministry of Caring.

A list of competing restaurants will be released in coming weeks. Any restaurant interested in entering the Burger Battle Arena can contact JulieAnne Cross at wilmonites@gmail.com.
