Burks Named Women Business Champion of the Year

L. Jay Burks, director of the State’s Office of Minority and Women Business Enterprise, was recently named the Women Business Champion of the Year by the U.S. Small Business Administration’s (SBA) Delaware District Office. The award recognizes an individual who actively supports legislative action to help small businesses, promotes efforts to increase business and financial opportunities for women and provides legal, financial or managerial assistance to enhance women’s business ownership, among others.
