DESIGN THE NEXT LOGO FOR THE DOWNTOWN DOVER PARTNERSHIP

The Downtown Dover Partnership (DDP) has announced that they will hold a logo design contest to help brand the new organization, said Bill Neaton, Executive Director of the DDP. The contest will run from March 25 to April 15, 2009.

“I encourage all budding artists as well as professional graphic artists to consider entering the contest,” said Mr. Neaton. “We know there are many creative individuals in our area with great ideas, and we look forward to the opportunity of judging the entries.”

The contest winner will be awarded $250 gift certificates that can be used in any one or combination of Downtown Dover businesses. Judges will select the winning entry and the DDP Board of Directors will make the final decision. No more than three designs can be submitted per person, and the winning entry will be the sole property of the DDP to be used in any manner. While there are no age limits or fees to participate, contest rules require that the entry logos:

  • Be distinct, unique and easily identifiable;
  • Be clear and identifiable at small sizes (e.g. 4×4);
  • Aesthetically be able to fit in with a broad range of site/application designs;
  • Provide a clear silhouette that can be rendered in multiple colors, B/W and gray tones; and
  • Submitted in JPG, GIF or PNG formats; however please be prepared to provide high resolution/vector graphic versions of your work.
