Wanted: Next NCCCC President

Do you think you have what it takes to be the Next New Castle County Chamber of Commerce President?

Current Chamber President Ron Walker is retiring in Feburary 2006, and the search is on his successor.
The next individual chosen to lead the Chamber will be responsible for the day to day operations, plus the continuing financial and overall success of the organization, while adhering to the vision and mission.

Job Description

Duties and Responsibilities : The President is the chief executive and administrative officer of the organization and serves as Corporate Secretary. He/she serves at the pleasure of the Board of Directors and will perform such duties as may be incident to the office, subject to the direction of the Board of Directors. The President is the chief spokesperson and is expected to effectively represent the Chamber and affiliated organizations.

The President is responsible for the full range of Chamber activities including but not limited to: coordination of the program of work; organizational structure; implementation of policies; long-range planning; motivation of member volunteers; financial management; growth of membership; employment, training, and supervision of staff; maintenance of facilities; administrator for the chamber’s group medical insurance plan and active participant in the Economic Development Council.

Education
This position requires a bachelor’s degree plus experience demonstrating a successful record in management, marketing, economic development, organizational skills, government and public relations.
