The Delaware Community Foundation selects Kittleman & Associates to help Identify New President & CEO

The Delaware Community Foundation has retained Kittleman & Associates, a highly respected national search firm, to assist with the search for the foundation’s next president and chief executive officer.

Kittleman & Associates, a firm focused exclusively on senior executive searches for public charities and foundations, will help the DCF board of directors identify the successor to Fred C. Sears II, who recently announced that he will retire effective Dec. 31, 2015.

“Our goal is to identify the individual who will best be able to lead the foundation forward, building on the significant legacy of Fred Sears,” said Thomas L. Sager, vice chair of the DCF board of directors and chair of the recently formed search committee.

“The new CEO will guide the foundation’s work on its expanded mission, focused on building a shared vision for Delaware’s future, grounded in knowledge, informed by the common good and advanced through philanthropic leadership.”

In addition to Sager, the DCF search committee members are Kelly Firment (co-chair), Doneene Damon, Marilyn Hayward, Bill Dugdale, Don Nicholson Jr., Laurisa Schutt and Cindy Szabo.
