Event on Clean Water Technologies in Delaware

Delaware has 377 bodies of water that are not safe for their designated purpose of drinking, swimming or supporting fish and aquatic life. The Governor is proposing to the clean up our waterways and improve the systems that treat and deliver water in the community. The Governor’s plan is a $120 Million a year program (4x the current annual investment) with new taxes on every business and household in Delaware. And the Associated Press reported this week, advocates are concerned that the plan is not getting support in Dover.
Mr. Colin O’Mara, Secretary of the Environment and Energy for Delaware, Governor Jack Markell, will describe the Clean Water for Delaware’s Future initiative recently proposed by Governor Markell and how clean water technologies play a role in the initiative. Jeff Fulgham is presently Vice President, Global Strategic Marketing, at Ashland Water Technologies, and he will present information about clean water technologies used by the industrial water treatment industry.
