Escheating threatens business in Delaware, experts say
If you’ve been paying attention, you’ll notice a trend coming out of the legislature this summer- raise the cost of doing business in Delaware. Raising the fees, taxes and overall costs for corporations may seem better than having to balance the budget, but ultimately it is irresponsible. Particularly when other states are always looking at ways in which they can gain a competitive edge over Delaware’s favorable corporate environment.
If lawmakers in Dover keep on the current course, those other states will have their work cut out for them.
