TEDxWilmington Brings 24 Innovative Speakers to Delaware

TEDxWilmington returns bigger and better for its second year on Wednesday, August 7, 2013 at World Cafe Live at The Queen where 24 speakers will share “ideas worth spreading,” covering topics from decision making to near-death experiences to understanding the “millennials.”

Produced by Strongpoint Marketing (www.strongpointmarketing.com), the event offers a full day of programming including live speakers and streaming TEDTalk videos, curated by the TEDxWilmington organizers. Award-winning broadcast journalist and former CNN correspondent Kathleen Koch will moderate the day. Breakfast, lunch, and two refreshment breaks will be provided. A reception will follow.

Among the accomplished speakers scheduled to speak are Jim Kelly, Executive Vice President for Capital One’s Direct Business; Liane Hansen, an Emmy and Peabody Award winning broadcaster; Joseph Geraci, a speaker and researcher on the Near-Death-Experience; and Theresa Rodriguez, author of bestselling travel guide, FLY SOLO: The 50 Best Places on Earth For a Girl to Travel Alone. Other speakers include a beekeeper, sex therapist, chef, musician, a “robber baron,” photographer, researcher, playwright, diva, educator, and community-changer.
