The keynote speaker will be author, curator, and founder and CEO of Magnify.net, Steven Rosenbaum. Last year, Mr Rosenbaum was appointed by New York’s Mayor Bloomberg as the City’s first ever “Entrepreneur at Large”. In that role, he serves as a liaison between the City and its entrepreneurial community and provides in-house guidance and regular feedback on the City’s programs to assist entrepreneurs while also assisting in the development of new and innovative ideas for the future. Rosenbaum’s remarks will focus on the most important steps any community can take to help build and sustain a strong and vibrant entrepreneurial community.
In addition to Mr. Rosenbaum, we will hear from United States Senator Chris Coons who will discuss legislation he has introduced in the U.S. Senate to promote the success of startup companies: Startup Act 2.0 (which contains important immigration provisions, as well as other tax and regulatory provisions) and the Startup Innovation Tax Credit (a proposal to make R&D credits accessible to startup companies).
